About PJA Fitness

At PJA Fitness, we help athletes, hybrid lifters, runners, and active adults move better, recover faster, and train without limits. Our practice blends rehabilitation and performance into one seamless, results-driven model — without the restrictions of insurance.

 

We’re a cash-based physical therapy and performance practice based in Melissa, TX, proudly serving McKinney, Anna, Frisco, and the greater North Texas area. We offer 1-on-1 sessions with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy — no techs, no hand-offs, no insurance limitations. Superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement.

PJA Fitness is currently operating in a mobile and remote format, while actively searching for the right physical location to serve our growing client base with a high-performance training and rehab facility.

At PJA Fitness, we provide personalized, physician-supported care whether you're recovering from surgery, bouncing back from a game, or training to reach peak performance. Our process ensures every client gets the right treatment — at the right time — with clarity and confidence.

Initial Evaluation

Every client begins with a 1-on-1 evaluation performed by Dr. Preston Arnold, a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. This includes a full movement assessment, orthopedic screening, and a conversation about your goals and history — whether it’s post-op rehab, performance training, or recovery.

Determine the Best Path Forward

Based on your evaluation, we guide you down the appropriate care pathway:

Injury or Post-Surgical Case (e.g., TKA, THA, ACL Repair, Meniscus Surgery)
→ If you're post-operative or present with a new injury, we’ll coordinate with your physician or surgeon for medical clearance and ensure your care follows best practice protocols.

Medical Concern Needing Diagnosis
→ If symptoms suggest a need for diagnosis or imaging, we’ll refer you to a trusted physician in our network for further evaluation before beginning treatment.

Wellness & Performance Clients (No Injury)

 → If you’re not injured and simply want to recover from activity, improve mobility, or enhance performance, we can begin immediately under our wellness and performance-based model.

How Does This Work?

Hi, l'm Preston Arnold, Doctor of Physical Therapy

and founder of PJA Fitness.

My journey into physical therapy started with personal experience. As a collegiate baseball player, I suffered an injury while unknowingly doing the wrong workouts

without proper guidance. That setback lit a fire in me to learn how the body really works - and how to train, recover, and perform the right way.

Today, I bring that same passion into my work with athletes, active adults, and anyone striving to move and feel better. I'm not just a coach on the sidelines — I practice what l preach. I train regularly, stay active, and continue to challenge myself through strength training and running. I believe movement is medicine - and I live that out every day.

Outside of work, I'm newly married, guided by my Christian faith, and proud to be a family-first kind of guy (with a couple of awesome dogs, too). That mindset shapes how I run this business - I want every client to feel like part

of the PJA Fitness family.
